From our years of working in the community we have come to realise just how effective the arts can be in enhancing people’s health, wellbeing, confidence and self-esteem.  That is why we have developed activities aimed at using fun, and interactive creative arts workshops to alleviate the symptoms of stress, depression, social isolation, exclusion, dementia and other functional mental health issues amongst people of all ages. Activities include:

  • IROKO Robicse. specifically designed group music-making involving African drumming, singing and chanting.
  • Arts and crafts – beads making, clay modelling, drawing, picture painting or colouring, etc.
  • Singing for Fun – singing old time familiar tunes in a group, supported by a professional singer, composer and instrumentalist.
  • Mindfulness and Wellness – chair based yoga exercises, breathing practices, mindfulness and guided relaxation exercises.

IROKO Health and Wellbeing programme is also ideal for Stress Busting in the workplace.
